Aaron Nicholson was said to be the self proclaimed "KING OF THE FREESTATE HOLLOW".
He married Tabitha Nicholson July 22, 1852. They had 10 children: John Russ, Mollie, Augustine Gustavus, James Howard, Belle, Edmonia, Catherine, Noah, Mary, and Blanche. After Tabitha's death Aaron married Alice E. Strother around 1897.
